He systematically studied ancient, Byzantine and folk art, worked with engraving, stage design and teaching of fine art, while he also created sculptures. The purity of his surrealist painting, the transcendental-metaphysical atmosphere of his works, and the agenda that drew material from the "Landscapes of Memory", as he called them, formed still life, fragments of ancient architectural statues, daily useful objects, enigmatic interiors that, along with the human "absence", characterize him.
