Sotiris Sorogas was born in Athens, in 1936. He studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts, under Yiannis Moralis. He has taught freehand drawing and painting at the Architecture School of the National Technical University (1965-2003).

He has taught freehand drawing and painting at the Architecture School of the National Technical University (1965-2003). Today he is an Emeritus Professor. He has participated in many group and personal exhibitions, in Greece and abroad: Athens Art Hall (1975), Pieridis Gallery (1985), Athens National Gallery (1976), Tokyo (1976), F.I.A.C. International Exhibition (Paris, 1978), Athens National Gallery (1985) and many others. In 2004, he was honored by the Academy of Athens for his entire artistic contribution.
