Our first educational program took place with great success on Saturday, March 24 2018. It was entitled “Marker Circle” and its main objective was the discovery of circles in works of art, as well as self-expression in circular shapes. Our aim in these introductory programs is to guide children beyond the borderlines of logic, energizing their imagination in order to discern and create their own circles, while gaining an understanding of the theoretical aspect of the shape.

Our wider goal is a multisensory interaction with the works of contemporary Greek artists, while cultivating children’s understanding of the gallery itself, which is the second most important place for an artist after his own studio, being the connective link to his viewers. This educational cycle includes two more programs: the “Fantastic Square” in 21/04/2018 and the “Multi-colored Triangles” in 09/06/2018. In our first educational program, children had the opportunity of conversing with Mina Papatheodorou Valirakis whose exhibition we had the honor of hosting at that time, sharing with her their questions and their thoughts. Observing this conversation was a captivating experience for us and we would like to thank everyone involved for the opportunity. We would like to thank all of you for your participation and your warm support. But above everyone else, we would like to thank the children themselves who filled our space with their laughter and their questions, allowing us a glimpse of their world.
