He studied painting at ASKT with G. Moralis and graduated in 1965.
During the period 1969-74 he worked in Lausanne and Paris as well as in New York with a scholarship from the Ford Foundation. Since 1988 he has been a professor of painting at the SKT of AUTH. His paintings are usually medium or large in size, painted in oil or acrylic. He has also given large drawings in charcoal. His earlier subject matter was related to the painter’s social concerns. His idiosyncratic writing distanced his art from realistic description, although the human figure remains a dominant element in most of his painting.
