Antonis Kastrinakis is a visual artist born in Athens in 1958. He studied at The Vakalo College, from which he graduated in 1981.

During the early years of his professional career, he got involved with graphic arts, interior design and advertising. Following that period, he had the opportunity of working on theater and television set design as a member of Tasos Zografos’ team. He also designed the sets for two English movie productions in Greece. Since 1996, he dedicated himself to painting and installation. In 1999, he created a large sculptural motif made of metal, depicting three ships in an installation at the old jetty of Syros. Those three forms have become a source of constant inspiration, reappearing in different materials and dimensions.  Since 2004, he is collaborating with the Benaki Museum, creating his distinguished motifs out of cardboard.

He has held numerous personal as well as group exhibitions. His creations can be found in collections throughout Greece and abroad.
